I throw the Candy Jig on a 7’2” Shimano Zodias Casting rod on 7.3.1 JDM Zillion with 10lb Sunline FC Sniper ! On long main lake points , creek channels and off chunk rock! I get very aggressive bites when working it fast and the tend to hook themselves with the sharp hooks on these jigs!
My favorite color, Yucatán fire 3/8 0z 3/0 hook some of my favorite trailers in Gary Yamamoto grub, Zman craw and HD Craw there are so many options. Just go find one that fits you best.
