Angler Bundle - Ken Sweda

Ken began fishing early in life, exploring the local ponds of his west suburban Chicago hometown with his father. A fortuitous visit to the East Branch of the DuPage River, back when it was an unsightly and polluted urban waterway, resulted in the catch of a large carp, the first big fish that “pops” let him bring in by himself. Ken, as they say, was hooked.

Numerous trips to Kentucky Lake and Lake Shelbyville in his formative years stoked the angling flames until Ken joined a bass club after college, where he cemented his love of bass fishing.

These days, Ken pursues largemouth bass in the ponds and lakes around his home but has discovered the wonders of wading for smallmouth in area rivers like the Kankakee, the revitalized DuPage and the recovering Des Plaines.

This pursuit of riverine smallies is the focus of Ken’s bundle.
